After months of planning the meticulous details, the big day has finally arrived: a beautiful day dedicated to celebrating the love you share with your soon to be life partner. The morning of the wedding is an opportunity to celebrate with the special people whom have supported, laughed and cried with you thought-out life’s many moments. The tips below will help make sure you find joy in every moments of your wedding day…

Free your time & your mind (aka hire a coordinator)

Hire a day of coordinator or delegate a point person to manage all the last-minute details on the morning of. With these details in trusted hands you will be left free to enjoy the morning with your besties.

“The morning of the wedding was very important to Taylin as it was time to celebrate with the special people whom have shared, supported & laughed with her thought-out life’s many moments. She ensured that all of the last minute details were left to a day of coordinator so that she & Ryan could truly relax and make wonderful memories with their entourages.”'

Stay on Location

Have the salon come to you, this not only saves time in not having to travel all over the city but it is also a wonderful way to spend the morning with all of the ladies in one place.

“Layered rugs and a cozy sitting area made for the perfect gathering place for the ladies to reminisce & enjoy in the days many moments. The on-location makeup artist began to glam up each of the ladies with soft tones of pink, coral and purple. Hair was softly curled and braided to enhance each bridesmaids individual style.”

Stay out of the bathroom

Whether you choose to get ready in a hotel or at home we recommend that you stay out of the bathroom when you’re getting ready. Instead set up a space for hair and makeup (often times your hired artists will request that they work near a window in natural light). Take this as a photo opportunity & choose a place that is free of distractions & clutter. It will not only make you feel more at ease on the morning of but it will also allow for photos to be that much more in theme with your wedding vision.

Dress Up to Make Up

Whether it be matching rompers & shawls or beautiful robes for each of the bridal party, dressing up to get ready for the day is always a great idea. This thoughtful detail is a fabulous bridal gift idea & not to mention it looks fabulous in photos.

“The ladies dressed in matching floral rompers and beautiful lace shawls which complemented Taylins gorgeous lace Romper from a little boutique in Montreal. Displayed on a garment rack were an array of vibrant coloured bridesmaid gowns.”

Keep breakfast simple

While sit-down plated breakfasts are delicious; they are also time consuming. We recommend a beautifully set up breakfast station with goodies that can be grazed upon throughout the morning.

“Breakfast included stacks of confetti pancakes with Canadian maple syrup (Taylin’s favorite childhood treat), Fresh local fruits, grandma’s homemade cinnamon rolls and raspberry danishes, delicious layered yogurt parfaits, freshly squeezed lemonade & of course Champaign. Delicious goodies that could be grazed upon thought-out the mornings preparations.”

Be thankful

Whether it be a gift or a heartfelt letter be sure to take the time to show your appreciation for the ladies who stand by your side.

Go the extra mile

Ever wonder how to achieve swoon worthy photos?

-Create a vision board

-Choose a pretty well-lit room, add details that fit your wedding colour palette & theme. (Some companies offer day of furniture & prop rentals that can add extra details that will enhance your theme.

-Have one of 2 of the floral décor elements be sent to you along with the bouquets. This allows your photographer to play and incorporate them in different shots

“Taylin’s florals were a whimsical array of textures and tones of pink and yellows. While the bridesmaids bouquets were stunning fresh florals accented with shades of yellow which perfectly complemented their stunning mix matched gowns.”

As time wound down & everyone was dressed the ladies shared in many photo opportunities. Taylin’s vision of a relaxed and personality filled morning shared with her favourite people had been brought to life.
